Editorial Policy
Legal information is only useful if it is accurate, honest, and written for real people. This policy sets out the standards behind everything published here.
How content is created
Guides and articles are written from the advocate's professional knowledge of Pakistani family law practice, supplemented by reference to current statutes and procedures. Each piece aims to answer the questions clients actually ask, in the order they ask them, using plain language rather than legal jargon.
Accuracy and review
Before publication, articles are reviewed for legal accuracy by the advocate. Because law changes, published articles carry a “last reviewed” date. Content that has not yet completed review is marked as a draft pending advocate review and is not presented as final.
Urdu content
Selected pages of this site are also published in Urdu. Translations are written to read naturally — not as word-for-word renderings — and are reviewed for accuracy in the same way as the English originals. Where a legal term has no exact Urdu equivalent, the English term is retained alongside the explanation so nothing is lost in translation. If you notice an error in our Urdu content, please report it; corrections are handled with the same priority as English ones.
What we will not publish
We do not publish invented case results, fabricated testimonials, unverified statistics, or claims about experience, rankings, or awards that cannot be documented. We do not quote section numbers, fees, limitation periods, or procedural details unless we are certain of them. Where the law is uncertain or fact-dependent, we say so plainly rather than offering false precision.
Plain-language commitment
Legal writing too often serves the writer rather than the reader. Our standard is that an intelligent non-lawyer should be able to read any guide on this site and understand it. Technical terms are explained when they must be used, and never used to impress.
No advice in articles
Articles explain general principles. They are not advice for any individual case, and each one carries a notice to that effect along with an invitation to seek personal consultation.
Corrections
If you spot an error in our content, please tell us at adviqbal@msn.com. Verified corrections are made promptly, and significant corrections are noted on the page.
Independence
Editorial content on this site is not influenced by advertisers or third parties. There is no sponsored legal content here. The only voice behind these guides is the practice itself, writing for the people it hopes to help.
